Privacy Policy

BotBell ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the BotBell application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple user identifier. We do not receive or store your Apple ID email unless you choose to share it.

Bot Data: We store your bot configurations (name, description, reply URL) on our servers so they are accessible across your sessions.

Messages: Messages sent through your bots are processed on our servers and delivered to your devices via Apple Push Notification service. Our server retains only a limited buffer of recent messages per bot for syncing new devices and recovering missed notifications — your device is the primary storage for your full message history. If you reply to a bot, your reply is forwarded to the reply URL you configured; if delivery fails, replies are stored temporarily (up to 24 hours) for retrieval. Messages are not shared with third parties.

Device Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to deliver notifications via Apple Push Notification service (APNs). Device tokens are deleted when you log out or unregister your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate your identity and provide access to your account
  • To deliver messages between your bots and the App
  • To send push notifications for incoming messages
  • To enforce usage quotas and rate limits

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Messages are forwarded to reply URLs that you configure — we act only as a relay.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encrypted connections (TLS). Authentication tokens are hashed before storage. We retain your data only for as long as your account is active.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual bots and their message history within the App.

To delete your entire account, go to Settings > Delete Account in the App. After requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can restore it by simply logging back in. After 30 days, all your data — including account information, bots, messages, devices, and API keys — will be permanently and irreversibly deleted.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Apple Sign In: Used for authentication. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs): Used to deliver push notifications to your device.

7. Children's Privacy

BotBell is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
